WOW: What God Has Joined Together
I love weddings, don’t you? It is such a beautiful thing to witness a bride and groom pledge their life and love to one another before God and so many witnesses.
It is especially moving when you know the couple takes the vows they are making seriously enough to remain committed through thick and thin, for better or worse, in sickness and health.
The Bible makes it clear that that’s the kind of commitment expected from every married couple:
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” – Matthew 19:5-6
Faithfully honoring marriage vows takes a lot of grit… and a lot of prayer.
As of last October, two of our twelve children have tied the knot (so far). Our prayer for them, and their prayer for themselves, can be found in this little music video I made for our most recent newlyweds. Enjoy!

If you are married and would like more encouragement for remaining true to your vows, I encourage you to visit my other blog, Loving Life at Home.
Meanwhile, this week’s verse can be found in the fifth set of our Scripture Memory Flashcards:
And for extra practice, I’ve made more handwriting printables, as well:
Plus, in case you missed them, here are links to the first four sets of flashcards and practice sheets, too:

And I’ve also uploaded a progress chart to help you keep track of which verses your child has already memorized (some of the verses listed are from sets of flashcards that will be published in the future).
May God honor your efforts to hide His Word in your heart!
