I SPY Christmas Printables
I have a different sort of Christmas game to share with you today: a holiday version of an old family favorite. Check out these I SPY Christmas Printables:
I made these during an extended road trip last summer, and they helped keep my little ones quiet during those long hours in the van. Our family has been playing I SPY for years. We love racing one another to see who can spot the spied item first.
In addition to playing I SPY on road trips, we’ve read I SPY books and downloaded I SPY apps. But this is this was the first time I’ve ever tried my hand at making an I SPY printable myself — in color, no less!
Are you up for the challenge? See how long it takes you to find the items listed, then — if you’re playing with your kids — take turns picking something new for the other to hunt.
You can print off copies and search for the hidden pictures, or just zoom in on your phone or computer to play. Once you find all the clues listed, you can take turns naming other items for those playing to search for, just like in a regular game of I SPY.
You can choose a single item, like an oven mitt or an umbrella, or a collection of things, like four buttons, five candles, or three birds. The possibilities aren’t exactly endless, but there are enough of them to keep you busy for awhile. ?
These games illustrate an important truth about life, I think: We usually find what we look for.
Zero in on the stuff that’s not right, and you’ll end up missing out on what is. Focus on the things that are good and right and lovely, and you’ll likely notice a lot more of them. (Philippians 4:8)
