Show Yourself an Example Coloring Page
This week’s Scripture Sunday coloring page provides a worthy challenge as kids head back to school. It features 1 Timothy 4:12. “Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”
Even school children can be an example to others. Advanced years are not a prerequisite to good conduct, gracious speech, selfless love, and purity of thought, words, and actions. Nor must one reach adulthood before he can possess deep, abiding faith.
In fact, Jesus had much to say about the value of child-like faith:
- “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'” (Matthew 19:14)
- “‘Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.” (Mark 10:15-16)
- “And calling to Him a child, He put him in the midst of them and said, ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me….'” (Matthew 18:2-5)
This print coordinates beautifully with our “Study to Show Yourself Approved” coloring page. Don’t they look nice side by side?
