You Knit Me Together Coloring Page
Since today is “Sanctity of Life Sunday,” it seems the perfect time to share this You Knit Me Together coloring page. It features Psalm 139:13: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
My family loves this entire psalm so much, many of us have committed it to memory. Even now, I’m working to teach it to my younger children and grandchildren. In the New American Standard Bible, which is the version we’re memorizing, the passage reads this way:
For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully formed in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my formless substance;
And in Your book were written
All the days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
– Psalm 139:13-16
Isn’t that a beautiful thought? That God fashioned each one of us in a particular way for a particular purpose? That He is hard at work from the moment of conception, skillfully forming us, knitting every fiber of our being together in a marvelously unique way? What a priceless treasure every human life is!
More to Color
This coloring page was originally published in Sweet Child of Mine, my devotional journal for moms.
Here’s how this two-page spread turned out in my personal copy of this journal: I painted the borders with acrylic paint and colored the images with Prismacolor pencils.
If you like to color, come back next week. I post a new coloring page almost every Sunday. Alternatively, you may download any of the designs I’ve published in the past by clicking on this link: Free Christian Coloring Pages
