When I Am Afraid Coloring Page
Today seems like a perfect time to share our When I Am Afraid Coloring Page. There are lots of scary things going on in the world right now, but we can trust God to see us through the direst circumstances. He promises never to leave or forsake His children.
The Bible is full of encouragement for those walking through troubled times:
- “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: ‘Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'” – Hebrews 13:5-6
- “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4
- “The Lord is my light and my salvation—-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—-of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour a me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. – Psalm 27:1-4
- “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled into the depths of the seas, though their waters roar and foam and the mountains quake in the surge.” – Psalm 46:1-3
And, of course, the verse referenced in today’s coloring page: “When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise—-in God I trust. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4) Steve Green set this verse to music in a song I spent countless nights singing to my little ones (not so little anymore) when they had trouble sleeping or were disturbed by nightmares.
It’s a good reminder to trust fully in God, no matter what your age or circumstance.
