Teddy Roosevelt Coloring Page
Since October 27 was the birthday of our 26th president, I thought this would be the perfect time to share with you my brand new Teddy Roosevelt Coloring Page.
The included quote features Roosevelt’s thoughts on education (thoughts with which I heartily agree): “To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.”
Isn’t that the truth? I think that’s why scripture directs us to “add to your faith virtue and to virtue knowledge.” (2 Peter 1:5) When you skip that middle step, society suffers, as we are seeing today.
That’s because knowledge without goodness can be a dangerous thing. There is no such thing as a neutral education. All teachers teach from a particular worldview. Students will receive a much different education from a teacher who believes in absolute truth than from one who is convinced truth is relative.
Which is a big part of the reason we chose to homeschool. And if it is important to you that your child gets instruction in both mind and morals, I’d recommend you consider homeschooling as well.
