Fully Persuaded Coloring Page

This week’s Fully Persuaded Coloring Page features the words of 2 Timothy 1:2, which also happen to be the words of one of my all-time favorite hymns.

I love the illustration for this coloring page. Isn’t perfect for the season we are in?

A couple of weeks ago, two of my older children attended a fall gathering in Ohio where they actually got to harvest apples and make fresh apple cider and attend a barn dance and sleep on the ground. They made some precious memories together.

But this coloring page is appropriate for the metaphorical season I’m currently in as well. My husband and I are in the autumn of our lives. No more babies in the house: All my children are now in their teens or older. Some of them have teens of their own already. Our oldest grandchild turned 16 this month and will soon be getting his driver’s license.

So the Idea of being fully “persuaded that He is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto Him” takes on a deeper meaning that ever when we think about entrusting our precious children (who are no longer children at all) unto God.

But that’s what we’ve got to do. We have done our best to love them and teach them and pray for them and point them to Jesus and train them up in the way they should go. But as they leave our home and step into adulthood, what they do with all that good training is really between themselves and God, isn’t it?
