Benjamin Harrison Coloring Page

Did you know we have back-to-back presidential birthdays this week? Yesterday was Bill Clinton’s birthday, and today is Benjamin Harrison’s, so I’m sharing another of my presidential quote coloring pages for you in his honor.

Here again, we have a quote that is as pertinent today — when ensuring the integrity of our elections is such a major concern — as it was when Harrison first uttered it:

Harrison’s presidency was one of those rare cases in which he lost the popular vote but won an electoral majority. Interestingly, rather than stay up late awaiting the election results, he went to bed.

“I knew that my staying up would not change the election result if I were defeated,” he explained matter-of-factly, “while if elected I had a hard day ahead of me. So I thought a night’s rest was best in any event.”
