Thanksgiving Wreath Printables
Fall is in the air, and I feel ready to embrace it. To that end, I designed some fun Thanksgiving Wreath Printables this week to use in decorating my house.
I made them specifically to use on the seasonal tree I keep in my bedroom, but they’re great for other projects as well. I’ve given instructions for three projects below you can use them for.
3 Smart Ways to Use These Thanksgiving Wreath Printables
For photos, instructions, and supply lists for each of these three projects, keep scrolling. 😊
Tools & Supplies
Depending on which project you choose, you may need some or all of the following supplies. I’ve linked these with Amazon referral links so you can see what I’m talking about, but you may be able to find better prices at your local craft store (or even garage sales & thrift shops, which is where I found my paper trimmer and lots of my miscellaneous craft supplies).
First, you’ll need to download the Thanksgiving wreaths and print copies of your own. I recommend using white or cream-colored cardstock, so they’ll be sturdier and more durable.
I love the high contrast achieved by printing on white paper. But they’re very pretty printed on cream as well — perhaps a little warmer and more subdued.
Once you’ve printed all the copies you want, use a paper trimmer to cut along the lines separating the designs. Then you’re ready to use them in any of the following ways.
Thanksgiving Wreath Place Settings
Use these cards as a gentle reminder to the guests gathered around your Thanksgiving table of the real reason we celebrate this holiday in the first place. (Hint: It’s about far more than roast turkey and pumpkin pie.)
Choose cream or white cardstock plus a color to back the verses that will coordinate with your dishes. Once you’ve trimmed the printed portion, glue onto the colored cards stock to frame the artwork and make the cards more durable.
The pretty Bible verse prints look at home on fine China and rustic stoneware alike. Wouldn’t you agree?
Fall Stationery and Thanksgiving Cards
Use the printed and trimmed verses to embellish blank notecards. The process is quick and easy: just glue a wreath onto the front of one card, with or without a “frame” made from an extra layer of colored cardstock.
In the sample above, I used brown craft paper cards bought at Hobby Lobby when they were half price, but colored notecards would look pretty, as well.
Handmade Ornaments for a Fall-Themed Tree
If you follow me on Instagram, you already know I keep a Christmas tree up year-round in my bedroom, and simply swap out the ornaments to go with each new season. And I created these Thanksgiving wreath printables specifically for that tree.
I made the ornaments just like I made the place setting cards, except that I rounded the corners with a pair of scalloped scissors before mounting each print on a piece of fall-colored card stock in a coordinating hue.
It’s a little hard to see in these photos, but I also embellished the tree ornaments with a little clear, pearlized glitter by outlining selected flowers, leaves, or ribbons with white school glue, then sprinkling the glitter on top and allowing it to dry before shaking off the excess.
The only thing left to be done after that was to punch a small hole in the top of each card and thread a gold cord through for hanging. I’m thrilled with how my autumn tree turned out.
Did you glimpse those cute little mushrooms hanging on the tree? My daughter helped make those from dried out orange peels and sticks she gathered out of our yard after a storm. You can read the details in a blog post she’ll be publishing here in a few more weeks.
