Day of Trouble Coloring Page
Today I’m sharing a “Day of Trouble” coloring page that features Psalm 50:15. These words are the second half of a statement that begins in verse 14. Taken together, they read:
"Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
I think context is so important. The previous verse makes it obvious the person calling out for God’s help already has a relationship to Him, has already taken stock of God’s blessings and offered thanks for them, has already made some kind of commitment to Him by faith and is actively working to fulfill it.
This observation is not to imply God doesn’t rescue people whose very first interaction with Him is to cry out for help and salvation–He most obviously does.
I’m just reminding everyone (myself included) that it shouldn’t take some hopeless kind of crisis to open the lines of communication.
We should “pray without ceasing” through both good times and bad. Both when our hearts are full and overflowing with gratitude and when they’re heavy and weighed down by life’s cares.
If you are a believer, then God is right there with you through it all, ready to comfort, strengthen, encourage, sustain, give wisdom to, and rescue, as needed.
