Free Patriotic Printables (Historical Documents)
The US celebrates her independence this week. So it’s a perfect time to review some of the historical documents associated with the birth of our great nation. To that end, I created some free patriotic printables to use in my own classroom and wanted to share them with my blog readers, as well.
First, we have the opening paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence:
Additionally, since so many people seem to have a hard time remembering them, I’ve also included the Bill of Rights:
And, just in case you missed this one the last time I published it, here’s a link to the Preamble to the Constitution:
Our founding fathers put a lot of thought and prayer into these documents, carefully weighing each word, attempting to envision the far-reaching implications of every statement.
Our nation would do well to follow their example.

Want something more durable than loose-leaf copies? You’ll find all these designs and more — 218 pages worth! — in God Bless America, my new devotional journal for folks who love this country like I do.
I’ve ordered copies of this one to supplement our American history homeschool studies this fall. The short journaling prompts make a good addition to our creative writing program, and the coloring pages keep their hands busy during our read aloud times.
You always pull through with great ideas!!!!!!!
Thanks, Judy. I appreciate your encouragement!
Thank you so much for the resources. I’m homeschooling 2 of my grandsons and we are working on the American Revolution the resources that I have found here will help alot. Again thank you so much.
Happy to be of service! 😊
Thank you so much! We are learning about the American Revolution right now! I am sure you and every other Homeschooling mom appreciates free printables. This is my second year, and Homeschooling can get expensive. Thank you!! Thank you!!
You are so welcome. I’m glad to know our patriotic printables were timely for you, Jodi. Keep up the good work with your little ones!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
A grandmother (who is very disappointed in our “Educational System” for not teaching this history to our children).
You’re welcome, Nancy. I’m disappointed, too. Not only are many schools not teaching real history, they are actively rewriting it and promoting failed philosophies (like Communism/ Marxism) while denigrating the most successful (our own Constitutional Republic).
Just a note to tell you how awesome your website/blog is. I came looking for a printable preamble of the constitution and was sucked into your site. Within a minute I had found several things that I think are so helpful that I have never seen on any other sites. Your ‘Kids eat free” page is fantastic as well as your recipes. Well back to work for me but I just wanted to let you know that you have one more subscriber.
Best Regards
Jeff
Thanks so much for those kind words, Jeff. Hope you have a happy Constitution Day this week!

Is it okay to use your Preamble Photo to place on a post card to send to our State Senators and Representatives when we have our post card writing parties? Eveej. in Illinois

Absolutely. I’d be thrilled for you to use it that way. The painting is in the public domain, anyway; I just added the border to make it pretty.
These are beautiful! THANK YOU. I am teaching grandkids about the U.S. Constitution. These are perfect!
Thank YOU, Lori, for teaching your grandkids such an important part of American history. I’m glad we could help!
Thank you very much!
You’re very welcome, Michelle!
