His Wonderful Name Coloring Page
I’m sharing another free printable today to help you focus your thoughts on Christ this Christmas. I call this one His Wonderful Name coloring page.
It features the prophetic words of Isaiah 9:6. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. And the government shall be upon his shoulder. And his name shall be called Wonderful. Counseller. The mighty God. The everlasting Father. The Prince of Peace.”
Like the other coloring pages I’ve posted this season, this one was adapted from my new devotional journal, Joy to the World.
In this journal, I’ve devoted an entire chapter to studying the various names of Christ. Even then, it barely scratches the surface! Scripture is replete with verses extolling the excellent, beautiful, praiseworthy names of Jesus. Truly, His is a name above all names!

Hi Jennifer,
I just received your book. Thought I’d let you know that we enjoyed the coloring pages in my class!
Thank you so much for the free download!
I also thought I’d let you know of the typo for counselor for the coloring page of Isaiah 9:6. I couldn’t edit the page but thought you’d want to know.
Thanks again
Thanks so much for writing me, Janie. I’m glad you’re enjoying my book. I try really hard not to let typos slip through and always appreciate when others point out to me any that do.
In the case of Isaiah 9:6, I was quoting from the KJV, and that is the way the word is spelled in that particular version. In the States, we spell it, as you did, “counselor.” In Britain, it is usually spelled “counsellor,” but back in King James’ day, they must’ve used an “e” with the double-l instead of an “o.”
I guess we can be glad that, although spellings may change, God’s message to us doesn’t: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) and He is indeed a “wonderful counselor,” no matter how you spell it! 🙂
