Easy Grammar Ultimate Review

I’ve been using Easy Grammar to teach grammar for more than two decades, but it wasn’t until four years ago (just before we graduated our fifth) that I discovered the Easy Grammar Ultimate Series.

It follows the same format as the author’s Daily Grams workbooks for younger students, but with greater detail and more complex questions. It’s just the thing to help high schoolers brush up on the grammar skills and requires no more than 10-15 minutes a day.

Each day’s drill has five questions. The first four cover such basics as capitalization, punctuation, parts of speech, vocabulary, and sentence combining, but the fifth and final question is designed to broaden student’s knowledge about things such as syntax, etymology, and poetry.

You can buy individual workbooks for each student, or you can do as I do and purchase the teacher’s edition, which grants you permission to make as many photocopies of the exercises as your family needs.

Students can check their own work against the answers in the back of the book. Mine only come to me when they have questions about new material.
