Servant of All Coloring Page
Since today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Christ’s Passion Week, it seems a fitting time to share this Servant of All coloring page.
It features a couple of verses out of the Gospel of Mark. “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. And whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.” (Mark 10:43-44)
That same passage goes on to explain: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
Which is exactly what Jesus is doing in this picture. He’s taking off the disciples’ shoes and washing their feet. The Almighty, Everlasting Prince of Peace — humbly kneeling to scrub the dirt off His followers’ filthy feet. (see John 13:1-2)
When Peter understood Jesus’ intentions, he cried, “No! You shall never wash my feet!” But Jesus explained, unless Peter allowed this washing, he’d have no part of with Christ. At which Peter relented and told Jesus to wash not only his feet but his hands and head, as well. (John 13:8-9)
What about you? Have you been washed clean from your sin by the blood of Christ? No need to wait for Easter. Give your heart to Him today. (Romans 10:9)
