Train Up a Child Coloring Page
Today I’m sharing a “Train Up a Child” coloring page. It features Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
We must remember that this verse is a proverb, not a promise. Most parents (including me) would love a guarantee: Just feed a child vegetables, and he’ll be a healthy eater. School her well, and she’ll be successful. Teach him the Bible, and he’ll give his heart to Jesus.
But that’s not always how it plays out. Because there’s that little thing called free will that also comes into play.
Nevertheless, we as parents do all the things, while covering our children in prayer from pregnancy through the teen years to adulthood, because we know that is the charge God has given us.
We try to point them in the right direction. To live godly lives before them. And to train them up in the way they should go, all the while looking to God for the wisdom and patience and strength and endurance to raise them well.
