50 Christmas Carols to Sing this Season
I’m back with another of my 50 Things Bucket Lists today: This time I’m sharing 50 Christmas Carols for you to sing this holiday season.
Of course, we’re already nearly a week into December, so you’ll have to double or triple up if you want to fit them all in by Christmas.
That won’t be a problem for me. I treat Christmas carols like I eat Doritos: I can never stop at just one! (Or is that a potato chip tagline? Personally, I can stop at zero potato chips; Nacho flavored corn chips are another story. But I digress)
Curious what made my list of must-sings? Hint: You won’t find “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” or “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on this list! No, the majority of these are the kind of carols you’d find in a hymn book. Most of the sacred songs, I remember singing in church. A handful of the secular selections included on this list were songs I recall singing in choral concerts at school.
The list is packed with some gorgeous Christmas tunes and equally beautiful lyrics, so I hope you’ll take the time to look up any unfamiliar titles. If I get the chance later, I’ll try to come back and record a few of the lesser known carols then link them below. Enjoy!
