Our 18-year old Joseph is extremely creative, resourceful, and responsible. He excels at math and loves construction of any kind. He’ll tackle almost household repairs with minimal instruction — and often without our even asking him to do so.

He is currently augmenting his homeschool studies with dual credit classes at the local junior college. After graduating high school next May, he plans to pursue a degree in Engineering.

A strong swimmer, Joe has worked as a lifeguard at the local pool for the past two summers and keeps his life preserving skills sharp by working private pool parties when not on duty at Tyler Tennis & Swim.

The only one of our children with blue eyes, Joseph bears a striking resemblance to actor Hayden Christensen (see more of our celebrity look-alikes here.):

Joseph can ride for surprisingly long distances on a unicycle, and is also pretty good at juggling, as you can see in the video below:
