Hymns of Thanksgiving (Free Printable Booklets)
For many years, before so many of our kids grew up and moved away, we attended a delightful gathering at a friend’s house the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year right. The day’s itinerary was always the same: We’d share a meal, play some kickball, and sing several hymns of Thanksgiving together.
As much as I’d love to, I can’t bring those days back. But I can ensure our younger children are making the same kind of memories.
Thanksgiving Hymns included in this Collection:
- Come, Ye Thankful People, Come
- Count Your Blessings
- For the Beauty of the Earth
- Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
- We Gather Together
Toward that end, I created my own mini-hymnals filled with Thanksgiving songs last year. We had a total of 45 family members at our Thanksgiving dinner (and are expecting even more than that this year), and it was so encouraging to go around the room and hear each person say what they were thankful for before we sang these traditional hymns of Thanksgiving together.
The booklets were easy to make. I printed the first two pages (double sided) on colored card stock, and the last two pages on regular copy paper. I then folded each page in half and bound them together with a light line of Elmer’s glue down the center crease (although staples would do the job, too).
