Since November 24 is the birthday of our 12th US President, I thought today would be the perfect time to share this Zachary Taylor coloring page.
But the timing is perfect for another reason, as well. Today is the first day of National Bible Week, celebrated annually during the week of Thanksgiving.
And, as you can tell from President Taylor’s quote, he held God’s Word in very high regard:
The Bible is the best of books, and I wish it were in the hands of everyone. It is indispensable to the safety and permanence of our institutions.

A free government cannot exist without religion and morals, and there cannot be morals without religion. Especially should the Bible be placed in the hands of the young. It is the best school book in the world. I would that all our people were brought up under the influence of that holy book.
